About the Pastor-
Pastor Frank has been at Snow Prairie since November of 2008. He began his faith journey in the Lutheran tradition. Having gotten saved at at the end of his senior year in high school, the church nearest him was an LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod) which he attended with a friend and his friend’s family. He attended Concordia University (then college) in Ann Arbor, graduating in 1996. While there, he began to realize that his beliefs did not line up with the views of Lutheranism.
In 1995, he went on his honeymoon to Nashville Tennessee with his wife. It was there, he found a book in a Christian bookstore called The Baptist Faith and Message by Herschel Hobbs. As he read it, he began to see views in the book that he already held himself from reading the Bible. He does not hold to the Baptist doctrine of Cessational-ism, the idea that God no longer operates through the gifts of the Spirit. He believes God can do whatever God wants, when God wants. Pastor Frank does not identify with any particular denomination, but simply a follower of Christ and teaches what Christ taught and what His apostles taught.
God continued Pastor Frank’s education for 2 years at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. More recently, he attended Liberty University online, to receive a Master’s Certificate in pastoral counseling.
Pastor Frank is married to a wonderful godly woman, Danielle. They married in college in 1995. They have three special-needs children. Their biological son is 21. They also have 2 adopted, special-needs boys, aged 17.
Pastor’s philosophy of ministry is simple- “For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. If a person is breathing, they are not beyond God’s grace. Our job is to be the guide, arrows pointing the way to Jesus. We are called to be guides shining lights, not the gatekeepers deciding who gets in.”
